Parution

Apparitions dans l’ouvrage : Inkscape 0,46 - 0,47 - Apprenez, pratiquez, créez d'Élisa de Castro Guerra et aux éditions Pearson, avec quelques réalisations et quelques techniques Inkscape. Je me suis exercé au design avec des outils libres et sous un système d’exploitation également libre (GNU/LINUX) pendant quatre ans. C’est à ce moment ou Élisa m’approcha pour une contribution dans son ouvrage.

Le but était d’exposer des réalisations faites dans le cadre de projets « professionnels ». J’entends par là des projets réalisés dans le cadre d’une prestation. Pendant longtemps le fait d’utiliser des logiciels Libres dans le domaine de la prestation graphique était sujet à débat. Il était alors évident que quelques fondamentaux manquaient pour satisfaire les besoins requis par ce métier (concernant l’impression CMJN notamment). On pouvait toutefois servir certains besoins comme le design d’objet en 3D avec Blender ou la conception d’image vectorielle avec l’excellent Inkscape. Ce fut un plaisir de partager avec Élisa mes travaux pour le projet Calaos ou toutes les ressources (icônes, boutons, interfaces) sont réalisées avec Inkscape.

Journal de bord

Dans l’article «Designer autodidacte 20 ans après» je parle de mon cheminement de salarié, d’autoentrepreneur en tant qu’autodidacte, et au moment de l’écriture de celui-ci je me suis replongé dans mes archives en redécouvrant certains des projets sur lesquels j’ai travaillé. Je me disais qu’il serait utile d’en tenir une liste, un journal de bord, un historique. J’en profiterai également pour décrire quels étaient mes rôles dans les différentes entreprises qui ont jalonné et jalonneront mon parcours professionnel. Certains de ces projets seront décrits plus en détail avec des articles dédiés afin de revenir sur les techniques et méthodes employés.

De 2012 à aujourd’hui : Coelis & Travelport

Actuellement «Lead Designer» chez Travelport (anciennement Coelis) je suis en charge de concevoir des interfaces pour des applications métier dans le domaine du voyage et plus particulièrement pour les agences de voyages. Travelport est un des acteurs majeurs dans ce domaine. Nous sommes présents dans de nombreux pays et nous travaillons au quotidien avec des équipes partout dans le monde. Une de mes missions consiste en le prototypage agile de solutions nouvelles prouvant une idée ou la viabilité d’un marché.

De 2010 à aujourd’hui : All-Pixels

All-Pixels était mon autoentreprise pour des prestations de design et d’intégration web. Je ne suis plus en activité actuellement mais tous mes projets personnels en portent toujours le nom. Comme ce blog par exemple.

De 2010 à 2011 : Novelys

Novelys est une agence d’accompagnement technique pour le développement de startup sur le web. Mon rôle était celui de designer et d’intégrateur web, ma mission était de rester proche des développeurs et des clients, j’étais en charge de proposer un design, de le valider, et de le décliner sur toute l’application pour ensuite travailler avec les développeurs à l’intégration de celui-ci. Je parle plus précisément de cette période dans «Designer autodidacte 20 ans après»

De 2008 à 2008 : Creative Patterns

Creative Patterns était un développeur de jeux vidéo et de serious game. Je n’y ai pas fait des étincelles mais j’ai beaucoup appris notamment à travailler avec des systèmes à fortes contraintes comme la Nintendo DS et son workflow. Mon rôle a été de concevoir des interfaces et certains des sprites d’un jeu de gestion.

De 2006 à 2007 : Gribouillage Libre

Avec Gribouillage Libre je proposais mes services via une société de portage salarial. Le but de Gribouillage Libre était de démontrer que l’on pouvait exercer dans le domaine de la conception et de l’infographie tout en respectant le plus possible les préceptes du logiciel libre.

De 2005 à 2006 : Info-Netik

Info-Netik est une entreprise de services informatiques classique qui avait la volonté de proposer du développement web. Nous avons réalisé quelques projets intéressants et accompagné quelques entreprises dans leur migration technique et logicielle. Ma mission était très focalisée sur le design de sites Internet.

De 2003 à 2005 : Informat Systems

Informat Systems est un acteur historique dans la vente de matériel et la prestation réseau pour petites et moyennes entreprises à Strasbourg. Informat Systems tenta une migration, une évolution en ouvrant un service de conception logiciel. Une belle tentative avec quelques projets tous très divers comme la conception d’application de gestion, de la prestation graphique ou même de l’impression. Mon rôle y était celui de graphiste, designer.

De 2000 à 2002 : Alsace Marketing

Alsace Marketing avait l’ADN d’une agence de communication classique aidant les entreprises à passer online. J’y ai réalisé le design de près de 40 sites web en deux ans. Mon rôle était de produire le plus rapidement possible un design de page web adapté à la charte graphique existante de petites entreprises.

De 1998 à 2000 : Best Coffee Shop

Au Best Coffee Shop j’étais serveur dans ce café Internet. Pour diverses soirées et évènements j’ai réalisé des flyers et des affiches, j’y ai fait mes premières armes. J’ai pu également participer activement à l’organisation d’un show room pour Silicon Graphics. Nous y avons présenté les stations de travail 340 et 520 fonctionnant sous Microsoft Windows NT. Pendant une semaine j’ai pu parfaire mes connaissances en logicielles 3D (3D studio à l’époque) sur ces superbes machines.

De 1996 à 1998 : Autoformation

Rien de notable en terme de production j’ai passé ces deux années à me former en prenant pour exercice des demandes de ma famille ou pour l’entreprise de travaux en bâtiment pour laquelle j’étais en apprentissage.
